808 Distortion Rack

I've developed this rack for some Hyperpop production projects and found myself using it often when I design 808's or just want to beef-up sampled 808s.

This rack is a combination of Pre-Gain Staging, Waveshaping saturation, Overdrive with adjustable center frequency, Bit Crushing tuned to noise and less tone loss, stereo distortion, and filtering with cabinet. Bass Frequencies are monoed overall and we finishing up the rack with a touch of soft clipping if necessary.

It took time to dial in all the effects and the right amount of control for this rack. And it sounds really great so I'm charging $1 for it. I hope it's cool with you.

MACROS

Pre-Distortion gain, Main knob to drive the rack.

Gentle Overdrive with adjustable center frequency.

Controls the center frequency of the color overdrive.

Waveshaping drive

Redux tuned to added noise and less degradation of tone.

Secret stereo distortion used with the Vinyl Distortion effects.

Unique filter using the Cabinet

Adjust the overall output volume if distortion gets too loud.

INSTALLATION

1. Double click on the downloaded file to open it up in Ableton Live

2. Click on the Save button at the top right corner of the device to save to your User Library
